BACK TO BACK FISHING TOURNAMENTS
The Maine Blade Runners as part of Whitney’s Tri-Town Tournament Series held two Bass tournaments on May 16th & 17th in Washington County.
Boyden Lake was the site of the first tournament, which was co-sponsored by Lighthouse Lobster Inc. Thirty seven Bass anglers from Maine and Canada tried their luck at catching the winning bag of Bass. Stefan Matthews, representing Lighthouse Lobster Inc., presented the first place team of Keaton and Fitzgerald with a trophy, prize money and twenty pounds of Lobster. Prize money and a trophy went to top three teams; second place team of Williams and Malloch, third place team of Cain and Cain, and the fourth place team of Molinski and Molinski. A new comer Noah Caron caught the Lunker Largemouth Bass and one of the veteran fishing teams Williams and Malloch caught the Lunker Smallmouth Bass.
Pocomoonshine Lake hosted forty fishermen from the Down East area. Liquid sunshine didn’t damper the enthusiasm of this group of hearty souls that attended the last early Spring tournament of 2015. Cain Guide Service co-sponsored this event, with Brian Cain awarding cash prizes and trophies to the winners. First place went to the team of Rathburn and Patterson, second place to Arsenault and Shaw, third place to Mitchell and Mitchell and fourth to Williams and Malloch. The lunker Largemouth was caught by the team of Mitchell and Mitchell the Lunker Smallmouth was caught by the team of Molinski and Molinski.
